A Look Back: The History of Blue Sky eLearn
- 2002: Blue Sky eLearn was founded in 2002 as Blue Sky Broadcast. Our founder and CEO, Phil Forte, started by selling recordings of educational sessions at association conferences.
- 2007: Blue Sky Broadcast began offering recorded virtual and hybrid event services, allowing associations to live stream conferences worldwide.
- 2008: Just as virtual events services were taking off, we started expanding into the Life Sciences industry, offering a clinical training portal, virtual investigator meetings, and fully managed virtual event services for speaker programs and advisory boards. To this day, Blue Sky works with some of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world.
- 2014: The demand for virtual event services and hosting on-demand content grew, and so did our clients’ desire to track learner’s progress through interactive quizzes, and award credits and certificates. And thus, Path LMS™, our flagship product, was born!
- 2016: Blue Sky Broadcast sold the remaining conference recording business. We officially changed our name to Blue Sky eLearn to reflect our focus on online education and our products and services.
- 2017: Blue Sky eLearn received funding from, and began a partnership with, the Freeman Companies, the world's largest event technology company.
- 2020: Blue Sky eLearn acquired IMPART!, an eLearning company.
- 2022: Not only are we celebrating 20 years in business, we were also excited to announce our partnership with McCarthy Capital in January. This new partnership expands our capacity and enables us to continue delivering exceptional services to the associations and professional development organizations that we serve.
